 IT’S THE SEASON OF
CARING, SHARING AND GIVING!

ADOPT-A-FAMILY
Individuals, groups, or organizations may adopt families who have applied for holiday baskets/gifts. Holiday baskets generally include a food basket that includes food for a holiday meal and toys and/or clothing items for the children. Holiday baskets/gifts may be delivered directly to the families’ homes or to the Center for distribution.

ADOPT-A-SENIOR
Individuals, groups, or organizations may “adopt” Senior citizens (age 62 or older) who have applied for holiday baskets/gifts. Holiday baskets generally include a food basket that includes food for a holiday meal and gifts suitable for the elderly. Holiday baskets/gifts may be delivered directly to seniors’ homes or to the Center for distribution.

GIFT WRAPPING
Individuals or groups may volunteer to wrap toys and gift items for distribution to families and children during the Christmas party. We also wrap toys on the day of the Christmas party.

CHILDREN’S PARTY WITH SANTA
Volunteers wrap gifts, escort children to see Santa and provide staff assistance to entertain children at the party. On average, we entertain more than 300 children between the ages of one month and 12 years of age. Each child receives a toy and Christmas treats during the party.

44 YEARS OF SHARING, CARING AND GIVING.

Our Mission...

We provide food, clothing, shelter, guidance, health and referral services to economically disadvantaged individuals and families, and assist and encourage those whom we serve to achieve self-sufficiency.

2017 Update

For the first time in over 40 years, we face the real possibility of reducing services to our clients. The need is increasing, but our contributions are only about half of last year.

Xmas in July heading

On July 15, 2017, 40 kids came to our annual "Christmas in July" Party. Our Notre Dame intern Eric Kim and his helpers did a great job planning and facilitating the eventful day.

Kids got their “ticket" by previously completing a service for someone in their family or community. On the big day, making crafts, cookie decorating, musical chairs, eating nachos, hot dogs & popcorn were some of the many fun things waiting for each child. In addition, each child received a gift as well. Kids made pledges to read as part of the event.  Also, Mount of Olives Kid’s City donated several bicycles that were  given away.
